For this editorial shoot, the team drew inspiration from Pantone’s Color of the Year, “Mocha Mousse.” This rich, warm tone set the stage for an elegant yet inviting celebration. The goal was to create a setting that felt timeless with a touch of personality, and the pink façade of the Grand Galvez on the Texas coast offered the perfect backdrop.
The ceremony broke with tradition by featuring a circular seating arrangement, fostering a sense of intimacy and connection among guests. Green chinoiserie vases brimming with lush florals framed the space, lending an artful and curated aesthetic. Large white umbrellas were thoughtfully placed over the seating area, providing shade from the Texas sun while contributing to the relaxed, coastal atmosphere.
For the reception, serpentine-style tables adorned with cascading florals encouraged conversation and a sense of community among guests. In place of the traditional champagne tower, a playful espresso martini station added a personalized twist—perfectly echoing the mocha mousse theme.
One of the standout design moments was a mocha mousse-colored velvet backdrop, crafted as a photo opportunity for the couple and their guests. The soft, textured drapery introduced a romantic ambiance and invited guests to actively participate in the evening’s festivities.
To elevate the guest experience, a lounge area was designed for cocktail hour, prompting couples to rethink traditional hosting elements. With plush seating, carefully curated décor, and signature drinks, guests were encouraged to unwind and enjoy the celebration at their own pace.
At its heart, this editorial was about blending luxury with ease—presenting a wedding aesthetic that is polished yet approachable, and intentional while remaining deeply personal. It offers inspiration for couples seeking a celebration where every detail is designed to be both meaningful and memorable.
