The photographers are provided the same venues decorated by top local wedding planners and are graded based on their unique vision and imagery of the venue and its design details.
The Styled Challenge is a design competition showcasing the works of talented wedding professionals from various regions. Each designer is given the task to create an exceptional wedding ceremony and reception arrangement in the provided venue. The best design is voted by our viewers on Southern Bride Facebook live. The Texas competition includes top 3 local wedding planners and 3 exceptional venues: The Rock House, Royal Ballroom & Wildflower Atrium, and Hill Country Pavilion & Lawn.

Designer Jennifer Ashford and the team at Altar Ego Weddings presents a modern and lively “Bold Garden Party” wedding design for couples who want to celebrate their special day in a resort-style setting but without the formality of a traditional ballroom.The Rock House at Omni Barton Creek in Austin, Texas, is the perfect outdoor location for this picturesque event. The floral concepts and graphic prints incorporate bold, vivid pink and red hues, complemented with blue and white accents. Acrylics and metallics create a striking contrast against the natural green surroundings.
The Rock House at the Omni Barton Creek Resort is nestled in the rolling hills of Fazio Canyon, providing a secluded and picturesque setting next to a babbling brook and expansive Texas sky. Situated on the Omni Barton Creek’s golf course, The Rock House served as a men’s social house and it retains much of its rustic charm, complete with horseshoe pits and a poker table. This unique event space is located just 8 minutes from the Omni Barton Creek Resort, making it a mini oasis amid Austin’s vibrant atmosphere.
The hanging cake display, colorful desserts, and stylish lounge offer an inviting space for guests to enjoy. The bride wears a whimsical dress with floral features, while the groom looks dapper in his custom blue suit and patterned accessories. This wedding design aims to create a warm and joyful atmosphere without being overly formal.
