Welcome to Part 1 of our exclusive look at Mattie Jackson’s Fairytale Wedding.
We are so excited that Mattie Jackson, daughter of country music legend, Alan Jackson, is Southern Bride’s cover girl for our 2018 Summer/Fall current issue. Her drop dead gorgeous wedding, which took place at her family’s sprawling estate, is a must see and do not miss for sure. This wedding was so beautiful and grand, we can’t wait to share all the incredible details in our 3 part in depth web series.
When it came to planning our dream wedding, we wanted the day to feel elegant, personal and full of happy, infectious energy. I’m all about details, while Ben revels in the big picture. Some things were very collaborative, integrating our southern, playful yet refined tastes, like the two specialty bars: a Champagne and oyster bar for me and a Scotch and slider bar for Ben. Other things, like the linens, lighting and cake, he graciously dubbed as, “Whatever makes you happy.” Our favorite part to plan together was a surprise first dance, a two-step swing dance to my Dad’s first radio single, ‘Blue Blooded Woman‘ and ‘a Redneck Man’.
