The First Encounter
As meteorologists, Andy and Brittney both attended a weather conference in Mississippi. Andy will tell you that he spotted the pretty brunette from across the room and spent the rest of the day trying to catch her attention. He finally got his wish at the end of the day when they bonded over the Memphis Grizzlies game on TV at the conference’s mixer. They never stopped talking after that night and Andy’s been chasing after Brittney ever since!
In Preparation
Andy proposed to Brittney on a snowy slope at Big Bear Lake, California in January of 2016. They knew that they wanted an outdoor wedding in Brittney’s hometown of Memphis, Tennessee and found the perfect vintage venue at Cedar Hall. Brittney worked closely with the team at Cedar Hall for several months to create an elegant ceremony and reception.
The Big Day
The ceremony and reception were held at Cedar Hall in Memphis. Andy and Brittney were married in the garden, which was filled with beautiful hydrangeas and roses. The wedding party walked down the aisle adorned with baby’s breath while a string quartet played in the background. The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour in the lush gardens. At the reception in the stables, guests danced all night to the Soul Shockers and enjoyed delicious food. The bride and groom were sent off with sparklers before jumping into their 1963 Lincoln Continental Convertible.
The Retreat
Andy and Brittney vacationed on the white sand beaches of Playa Mujeres, Mexico. They stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres. This destination gave them a chance to relax as newlyweds and also explore the jungles and culture of Mexico.
