The Proposal
Jennifer and Cam met in the fall of 2016. Cam was hired to play for SmithField to fill in as a bass player, and although no sparks were flying at their meeting, Jennifer recalls thinking Cam had great style and was quote, “cute.” Then, in 2017, Cam moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and eventually found the courage to ask Jennifer out. In the fall of 2023, Cam asked Jennifer to marry him on a gorgeous mountaintop on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Cam proposed with a stunning 50-year-old ring, which previously belonged to Jennifer’s grandmother.

In Preparation
Since Jennifer is a touring artist, she knew she wouldn’t be able to plan every aspect of her and Cam’s wedding. So it was important for Jennifer to find a Nashville venue that was all-inclusive. Jennifer and Cam decided on Drakewood Farm, a venue complete with an in-house planner to ensure a seamless wedding planning experience. Jennifer hired her hair and makeup team, photographer, and videographer. Jennifer’s favorite part of the planning process was putting together a family picture table with both photographs of their parents and grandparents getting married and Jennifer and Cam as kids. The couple purchased a neon sign with their last name and even added a drink for their dog Chewie on their cocktail drink menu.

The Big Day
After seven years of dating, Jennifer Fielder and Cam Marburger were married on November 16, 2024, at Drakewood Farm outside of Nashville in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Jennifer’s bridesmaids gifted her a photo book with pictures of Jennifer and her bridesmaids together and a handwritten note on each page. Jennifer spent the morning sipping coffee, getting her hair and makeup done, crying, and reading the letters written by her best friends.
Jennifer’s father, who has struggled with health complications, was able to walk his daughter down the aisle. Jennifer was truly grateful for this miracle. The couple’s Goldendoodle, Chewie, was the “Dog of Honor.” As Jennifer and Cam were saying their vows, their photographer captured a picture of Chewie right beside Cam, looking up adoringly at the couple as they said “I do.” At the reception, Jennifer and her SmithField duomate, Trey Smith, performed the song that Jennifer wrote specifically for her husband, Cam, titled “Never Gonna Get Married.”
The Retreat
Jennifer and Cam have not yet gone on their honeymoon. Their dream destination is Santorini, Greece. However, since Jennifer and Cam married in November, they wished to wait for warmer weather for their travels. Their honeymoon trip to Greece is planned for May. Instead, the newlyweds went to Miami for a three-day “mini-moon.” They spent their time together in Florida relaxing on the beach and enjoying one another’s company.
