The Proposal
Kelsey flew out to Breckenridge for a ski trip with Zeke’s family, but Zeke was unable to attend because he was on a duck hunting trip in North Carolina, or so she was told. On New Year’s Eve, just before midnight and one day before their trip was scheduled to conclude, Zeke surprised her by sneaking into their cabin and proposing! Kelsey was completely taken aback and knowing that Zeke made the long journey to Colorado made the engagement even more special for her.

In Preparation
Planning and preparation for Kelsey and Zeke’s special day began nearly a year and a half before they said, “I Do!” From the very beginning, the centerpiece of their wedding design was a stunning floral chandelier, adorned with blooms in every imaginable shade of pink. The overall aesthetic exuded Southern elegance, centered around a color palette of pink, blush, gold, and black.
The blush bridesmaids’ dresses contrasted beautifully with the groomsmen’s black suits and cowboy boots. Kelsey delighted in choosing not just one, but two dream dresses—one for the ceremony and another for dancing the night away. She enjoyed collaborating with her planning and design teams to select the perfect items in her color scheme, including champagne linens, rose gold napkins, dazzling gold-rimmed charger plates, and white ceiling drapes.
Other carefully curated details included a custom monogram, which would be featured on koozies, cups, napkins, vinyl bar inserts, and a dance floor wrap. As the wedding day approached, Kelsey and Zeke eagerly looked forward to seeing their vision come to life and celebrating their marriage in front of their loved ones.

The Big Day
Kelsey and Zeke Brinley were married on May 4, 2024, at The Pavilion at the Angus Barn in Raleigh, North Carolina. Kelsey began her day with an emotional first look with her dad, followed by a touching moment with the groom. Despite predictions of storms throughout the morning and the need to switch to an indoor rain plan, the skies cleared just in time for the couple to say “I Do” outdoors, surrounded by a sea of pink florals. The last-minute decision to hold the ceremony outside allowed guests, dressed in “pink encouraged” attire, to create an unforgettable “runway” aisle for the bride.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour beneath a custom floral chandelier that Kelsey had dreamed of. They were served the bride’s signature cocktail, a pink Strawberry Margarita. The reception venue was transformed into an elegant, romantic pink floral garden, complete with candlelight. For dinner, guests savored the renowned Angus Barn steak, accompanied by upscale table-side wine service. The couple shared their first dance on a custom monogrammed dance floor, setting a joyful tone for the rest of the evening. Once Kelsey changed into her second dress and styled her hair into a “party pony,” she and Zeke took to the dance floor and didn’t leave it! Guestsdonned light-up cowboy hats and waved glow sticks to keep the energy high. To cap off the evening, everyone received a miniature chocolate chess pie, a favorite from Angus Barn. It was the perfect day to celebrate the Brinleys!

The Retreat
For their honeymoon, they chose a relaxing getaway and stayed in an overwater bungalow at Royal Caribbean Sandals in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed unwinding after the stress that led up to their perfect wedding day.
